Hello everyone!

I'm a new player and halfway through building my Horus Heresy army. I am a board gamer and miniature painter/modeler. I assembled and painted the old square base GW models back in the 90's when I was a kid, but I never played. I like playing all types of board and card games like Cthulhu Wars, Kingdom Death: Monster, Ginkopolis, The Colonists, Dominion, etc.

I bought myself the Age of Darkness starter set as my first plunge into wargaming. I watched a bunch of videos and really like the way the game plays. I wasn't really drawn to the 40k story, but the lore behind the Horus Heresy instantly grabbed me. I really liked stories and situations and it lead to me picking this set over others like the 40k or AoS starter sets.

Anyway, I have about 2000 points of a space wolves army under construction. And they're orange, because I want them to be orange and the Rout do what they want. I painted a batch of 40k space marines as a test batch and I liked the way they look, so I'm making my HH army orange.

I'm excited to begin this journey.

These guys look great! Are you making your own HH legion, or your own custom subset of an existing one?

As I'm sure you've heard, the Horus Heresy books are some of the best Warhammer-related novel content out there. I'd highly recommend checking out the opening trilogy to the HH series if you haven't already.
