Hey guys.

I am new to AoS and recently picked up a sizeable StD Army for almost free. I am wondering which way I should go regarding list and god wise. I got 30 Warriors, 20 Knights, 60 Marauders, 3 chariots, Be'lakor, Skarbrand and a Bloodthirster (plus a whole Khorne Daemons Army for 40k).

Keep in mind I know next to nothing about AoS. I played 2-3 games in 2nd Ed and that has been my whole exposure to the game.

slaves to Darkness will have a new book out within a month or two. Expected Nov/Dec.

Expect Knights to perform better on the table. Multiple factions - from belakor's legion, empty throne, despoilers, cabalists, marauders, and legionaries (warrior and knight focus). Some new units too - Ogroids, warcry warbands, etc.

Well the book got leaked. Lances got 50% damage up and are better without charge. Better save for them and warriors as well. No morale debuff though. Also works better in 2 ranks but with 230 pts pricey.

Also groovy ability to fight with them after chaos lords in strike first phase. POWERFUL. You could attack in total with 3 units before enemy gets to attack on turn you charge...2 lords + 2 knight=5 units before enemy gets to attack without strike first.

Nurgle warriors will look like "don't even bother to kill them" fully buffed.

Based on leaks you look pretty well set already. Chaos lord on karkadrak might be good addition though but probably need to try to find split. Doubt you need more warriors and knights

You are in good shape, and will be able to run a variety of builds with your collection. I think an allied Bloodthirster or Skarbrand will fit right in too if you want (I'd probably go with the Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage for the big axe).

Wouldn't hurt to get the Slaves to Darkness endless spells. I agree a Karkadrak Lord would be very good for a bunch of Knights and a unit of 3 chariots (though I'd say run the chariots individually for the extra charge effects). A mortal sorcerer of some sort, Manticore or even on foot, would also be useful.

No. They aren't changing at least in this book

At the same time the general Warcry units do fill a similar role to Marauders so you can splice them in for some insane levels of army visual variety

Aside from not getting new models for Marauders, they also got nerfed a bit. And as Overread mentioned the warcry units now fill that role by all being battleline naturally.

Hey guys, I want to thank you all for the advice. I did have a Karkadrak Lord, just forgot to list him.

I just ordered the new Box Set with the Battletome and new minis and have some $150 left over for my hobby budget this month. Going to see where it takes me after I assemble and playtest the new stuff

Can't go wrong with Archaon if you want another big center piece.

Splintered fang cultists looks to be pretty good.

I got Archaon at a discount from a FLGS. Not sure how I will get him into the list yet, but at least I will have a lot of fun painting him for now.

Chariots. You can't go wrong owning at least 3 chariots.
