I understand the reason not to sacrifice a daemonkin and I understand perhaps to a degree sacrificing a stronger unit would provide more power, but I do not think that Marines and terminators would be willing to be sacrificed. It also makes far more sense that cultists would be used for Sacrifice.

My suggestion would be as follows. 1d3 wounds would still be 1-3 cultists but they provide only a +1 to the die roll. Whereas the others provide +2 to the die roll. This would allow more leeway on how to play it, how to use it. I can see a squad of cultists being used surrounding the MoP being sacrificed for power to strengthen the spells.

Suggestion to make it better appreciated

I haven't picked up any of the 9e chaos books. Can you elaborate on how this works and what the implications of your proposed change are?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Master of Possession can within 6” cause 1d3 wounds to a non daemonkin or non cultists to get a +2 to a Malefic power cast. This can be done each time you cast a Malefic power.

OP is correct. Not being able to use it on Cultists is fething stupid. +1 to cast doing it to Cultists is perfectly reasonable.
