Tyranids. Returning after decades. I'm so clueless it's not even funny.

I have these models that I want to use:

Tyrant (walk)
3 Guard (any version ok)
16 Genestealers
10 Gargoyles
1 Haruspex
1 Neurothrope
2 Zoanthropes
1 Screamer-Killer Carnifex
1 Non Screamer-Killer Carnifex (any other config should be possible)
1 Parasite oM
1 Tervigon

Questions

1. Possible to get something casually viable out of this, with an eye on melee and psykers? Which Fleet? Not sure the Gargoyles even make sense, but I have them already...

2. I'm OK with buying more minis, but I definitely want to use the ones I listed, so I can't really use "consider swapping x for y" advice unless it's loadout for something I have.

Please don't bother with precise points for now, I'll post a detailed list when I get there, for now just trying to get a general idea if this is at least outside of meme territory and if and what I should add.

Cheers.

So adding that stuff up gives you the basis of a good list but you may want to look into a few things.

I know you said not to worry about points but I was curious. Excluding the tervigon (see below) and the stealers (pretty useless this edition), you have just over 1k pts depending on upgrades.

I'd run the neuro as a regular zoan for now so you can run the minimum squad, or buy another box so you can field the neuro and a squad of 5 zoans.

The tyrant is great with guard. Give him shardgullet venom cannon and laugh. The tervigon needs Gants to be useful. A squad of 20 makes a great objective holder when supported by the tervigon.

Everything else is perfectly good to use. For expansion it just depends where you want to go. Like I said you could bulk up your zoans or get some gants. Alternatively you could look at exocrines or tyrannos for heavy fire power. Harpies are also great right now, even after the recent nerf. You might also want to look at warriors for some troops as well.

Thank you for the advice, this helps a lot.

Warriors, warriors, warriors. Genestealers can be a throw away. Push them forward to make the enemy chew on them for a turn. Gargoyles are an effective screen, obj holder, action monkey. Termigaunts are a must for the Tervigon as mentioned.
