Played in my very first teams event last weekend, and wow what an absolutely refreshing experience for competitive 40k. It has been a long while since I got out to an event so combine that with this format made for a good day.

Hands down having to plan for pairings and look at match ups before hand was my favorite part. Our team did mock pairings which not only helped prep for the event but also was a solid refresher for many factions and the threats they pose. I also want to do a big shout out to the organizers who put the event on as it was phenomenal, from the venue, terrain, and just everything. I can't wait for the next one.

One other thing I really liked was the variety in tables you had to choose from. Instead of the very "generic" competitive layouts you had some that were very favorable to melee, shooting, or just had well protected objectives. This added much more weight to the pairing process and choosing your tables (or having your opponents choose you a poor one lol).

My team consisted of my Tyranids, Nurgle Daemons, and T'au. This time around I moved to playing Kraken as it has been the fleet I've had the most fun playing with the added bonus of it being debatably the best fleet going to boot.

I hope you all enjoy if you stick around for the watch. I did my best to talk through each game and will improve on my footage for the next one (was way too pumped to see everyone in my community again).
