It started off with just a few MkIII models I built for fun - my first Marines after a long time finishing rebuilding my WH40k Orks for 9th Edition (then realising I didn't like 9th Edition and shelving everything).

While the MkIII models are a bit undersized, I can see why they are so popular. They really sell the Heresy aesthetic. I liked them so much, I started building more. Next thing I knew, I had an army underway...

I realise that MkIII isn't regarded as iconic for the SoH, but it seemed to suit them. I decided that everyone would be helmeted, as for me the Heresy has always been about anonymous massed troops.

I'd recommend uploading the images to Dakka Dakka's gallery so you can post them embedded.
I'm a bit hesitant to download a file just to peep some models.

And the Legion Assault Squad (I had to resort to ebay for CC weapons). There is one more model with a power axe to do; it’s tricky getting the angle of the power axe right. I guess these guys will need a Land Raider.

And the HQ models. The dude on the left will be a Champion; he’s been a bit of a struggle to get right. I might add a Praetor in Cataphract armour, as there is still a Cataphracti squad to do.
