Second time I've played this system, Orcs vs the Vampiric Undead. Simple, fast and bloody. Looking forward to trying out 2000 points when my opponent is ready.

Had another game recently, this time with bone golems in the Undead ranks. Quite a close game.

That looks awesome! AoF: Regiments is the only of the OPR games I don't have the resources to play, but I know if I had old Warhammer armies, I'd definitely be playing it. Love all the OPR stuff!

AoFR is indeed tons of fun. We're planning on having 2000 points game in the future, hoping to bring even more monsters and troopers to bear.

I've been looking for good ways to play AoF:R with multi-based figures like Kings of War, but I've heard it's kind of awkward.

The problem is that AoFR uses unified unit sizes - a bit like how Conquest TLAOK demands that infantry comes in four models per base. Fodder can be either 10 or 20 models strong, elite infantry and cavalry can be either 5 or 10 models strong, brutes and monster cavalry are 3 or 6 models strong, and heroes (unless they are part of another unit) and large monsters have single base. This can probably be difficult to interact with if you have KoW-specific ways of basing troops.

How does this game compare with say... Oathmark?

Truth be told, I like it better than Oathmark.

Oathmark is by no means a bad game, it does what it was set to do rather well. However, after playing around a dozen games I've come to conclusion that I'm severely irritated by its often sluggish, awkward pace and somewhat confusing balancing.

AoFR is a much more dynamic game, although I admit I can't speak of how balanced it is - we've only played three games so far, strictly Orcs VS Vampiric Undead.

Yet another unit for the Horde done. This is my take on Giant Boar (Raptor) Riders. Can't wait to try them out in the field.

Orcs VS coalition of the Vampiric and Ossified Undead, 2000 points per side, our biggest game yet. Ended in a decisive Orc victory after complete eradication of the right Undead flank and more or less successful defence on the opposite side of the board. Truth be told, after five games (four losses, one victory) my opponent is not sold on the Undead. They seem to be incredibly squishy and are very vulnerable to good charges.
