Never played guard before and I'm getting on the hype train. Always loved the look of scions and the new karskin kit looks awesome(hopefully they'll release it soon). The steel commissar tank ace, with the tank commander being able to give orders to troops is awesome and so many free special weapons is great.

But yeh any feedback or tips on how to play the army would be great.

I belive you could split the Scions into a patrol and thus they'd become troops, which will get them OBsec.

as a rule, I just don't like including one tank. For starters it can't issue orders to itself, I don't think, so you lose some utility. It is a good at putting out damage, but I think it just sort of sticks out.

From what I've read I think he can give himself orders, I'll definitely be adding more tanks when I take it to 2k. But yeh the obsec might be an issue as i completely forgot about that, to excited by the new detachment

A tank commander can't order itself, it doesn't have the squadron keyword needed to receive orders. A rogal dorn with vaulted Pretoria can order itself and a baneblade with the same also can but not a tank commander. Also I would agree, one tank in a full infantry list is asking for trouble, add more or get rid of it.
