Hello all!

I have been painting world eater figures lately and assembling some Flesh Hounds, and i would like to hear ur ideas about something.

Im not trying to build most powerful army here, but i've been thinking what would be best/good way to use Flesh Hounds and Karanak in WE army?

I havent played the game in 15 years, so im not familiar/can't even remember old tactics really. Would be very nice to hear ur ideas.

My Khorne army will be probably pretty similar to many WE lists, Kharn, invocatus, executioner, berzerkers in rhinos, eighbounds, leviathan dreadnought, maybe Angron... and yes, Karanak + 10 bloodletters and 2x5 dogs (Flesh Hounds).

All ideas/comments/experiences from using Flesh Hounds are highly appreciated! Also if someone wants to give fast breef what is the role of fast attacks usually in 40k, that would be nice to hear too!

They honestly seem like a decent harassment unit, overall a bit tough and they can put out some good damage with their Ap-1 Flamers and D2 jaws. My main advice would be to add some sort of Leadership debuff to the World Eaters so your Hounds can Deep Strike closer than 9" if necessary.

Daemons inside WE book don't benefit from daemon deep strike except for warp locus. Angron gets them closer, leadership is irrelevant

Strengths of the unit are very reliant on the rest of the army.

In a no-Angron list they are fast and cheap, so would work much like Spawn as utility units that can run at objectives, harass weak things etc. They are not really any good for deepstriking as Bloodletters do it much better with the banner of blood ability. Nothing wrong with hounds, but Spawn are cheaper.

If you have Angron, they become a much better deepstrike unit. Multiple small footprint units can fit into the warp locus aura and be dropped into place to charge things not worthy of Angron. Small cheap units like Karanak, Bloodmaster, and hounds in general are great for this.
