Our first play session of the Spectre ruleset, the game proved to be pretty fun and offering a lot of options when it comes to the combat scenarios. The battle was set in our homebrew sci-fi setting, but we didn't change anything from the base rules aside from the heavy infantry using minigun with shorter range intervals.

Federal commandos have managed to successfully breach into the compound held by the Imperial troopers, download the vital data and get out before their captain died of wounds. Despite losing 2/3 of the squad during the shootout, they've prevailed by clever usage of the smoke screens and a couple of well-placed grenade throws.

2nd edition Spectre Ops? Really cool report - you said you didn't change much in the way of stats, but what kind of armor did you give everyone, since all the dudes seem to be wearing carapace? The figures look like Anvil Industries' Regiments - what parts did you use?

Yes, second edition.

Everyone was Professional level with basic Armour, only heavy trooper on the Imperial side was Elite and clad in Heavy Armour.

Those are indeed Anvil Industries' miniatures, Imperial side are Drop Troopers, and Federal side are Republic Commando. Imperial troopers utilized rifles, Commandos relied on shotguns and SMGs.

We will probably do our next game on a bigger scale, with an armed jeep to boot.
