Before I start, just wanted to make sure this type of topic was allowed.
I just watched the new movie at my buddy's house and have a ton of questions that we couldn't answer.

I believe so, the Venture Bros movie thread is buried at this point, I'm planning to watch it later tonight with my sister, the preview clips i've seen so far look pretty promising, but I am worried that for what is supposed to the be the swan song of the series, that they won't be able to cover enough to wrap up all the loose ends in the series. Not sure if this is a spoiler but is it implied that there might be other standalone VB movies after this?

Okay, I'm going to avoid spoilers, but I'll talk about what it IS to answer the questions above. If anyone has specific questions I'm happy to discuss and answer in the spoiler tags for a couple days to give people a chance to see it. No reason this thread shouldn't exist. We do this all the time.

So, its definitely not a hard end for the series. It leaves a lot open for further adventures, but does so in a way that wraps up most of the series lingering questions and really feels like it puts a bow on the NYC era of the show more than anything. Honestly, in a lot of ways it feels very little like a movie and more like a couple episodes that got left off the final season.

It's definitely not the bombastic finale/reboot that was Gargantuan-2, but it does provide a lot of answers and resolves a lot of character arcs. I quite enjoyed it, but I can see people wanting something more.

Thanks for giving enough context without any spoilers, really appreciate it. Very happy to hear that they aren't trying to rush everything and then drop a weird time skip sequence/montage at the end to end the series, not that I feel like they would have done that but it sounds like they have at least addressed the stuff at the end of the last season which was what I was hoping for. Will hope in back soon on my take for the movie when I watch it later today.

Okay, all of my spoiler-type questions will be hidden, but I didn't mind the ending and felt it was open enough that they could make more if they wanted.
Red Death seemed off his game and was back seated; not a spoiler

Here is what I wanted to discuss.

Spoiler:
Okay, I may have missed it during the series but did they ever explain what really happen or who caused the Movie Night Massicare?

Spoiler:
Mantilla seemed like she gave up everything once confronted, why would she do that, with high-end tech and a brainless army to back her?

Spoiler:
I don't think the movie night culprit has been definitively answered, but I think the movie is trying to imply it was Bobbi. We see it left alone after Vendata/Morpho confronts Jonas. Armstrong has always insisted it was a phantom and one of the big reveals of the movie is Sheila realizing that Bobbi was the legendary "Phantom of the Guild".

As for Mantilla, I was under the impression that she didn't actually have anything to give up and basically gets everything she wanted anyway. ARCH doesn't seem to actually exist at least at the scale presented. Basically she was concentrating everything into big staged shows of force to convince people they were joining something impossibly huge and powerful, but it was all built on her invisibility being used to steal or set it up beforehand. Eventually she could probably keep stealing and poaching enough Guild personnel to get there for real, but instead she's made Sovereign and given the chance to directly implement her ideas.

Mostly all she actually needs is peer validation. She doesn't have her mother's support and she assumes joining the Guild would lead her to being someone's pawn like what happened with her mother. She respects Shiela and wants to free her from a similar fate, but once confronted realizes that Shiela is very much respected and in command and willing to discuss the merits of what she's accomplished with ARCH.

Where is this movie hosted so I can watch it?

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I think its just a purchase right now. I got it off of Prime Video.

Prime Video is what my buddy did, digital was released on the 21st, and the physical blue ray was released on the 25th, but I looked around and my local Best Buy didn't have it available.
I hope to get a physical copy so I can watch it when I want and finish out my DVD collection of the previous seasons.

Spoiler:
Thank you LunarSol for your insight, it makes better sense now, but want to rewatch it a few times to collect the things I seemed to have missed. Overall I am pleased with the way they wrapped
it up after being canceled and I am sure with the limited time and money they were allowed to use at the end. The other thing with Mantilla is the fact the women were messed up as much as the men were in the whole series, she was basically a parallel path to Rusty's life.
On the Movie Mascaare thing, that is messed up if Simone did kill Dr. Venture on the space station for Force Mosure her 'husband" in hopes that getting rid of his arch-rival,
so they could be a "normal couple" only to have him killed and replaced by the sovereign that causes the pyramid wars.

Seems to be just buy, yeah. Once I did enough digging to find out who had it at all, I thought it would be available through an Amazon Prime sub (immediate family has one) but... no.

I ordered the bluray off Amazon.
It was the only place that seemed to have physical copies.
Mind I preordered my copy.

You can watch it for free on Adult Swim tonight at midnight (Eastern Time).

I recommend buying it though. Doc Hammer and Chris McCulloch basically said if sales are good and demand high enough theres a possibility that they will be greenlit to continue working on the Venture Bros in some capacity - whether that means a production order for another season or another film etc. remains to be seen.

I'd like more.

There's really no other show quite like the Venture Bros.

EDIT: Also the movie is good, though admittedly it plays out more or less like one long Venture Bros. Episode. Like Venture Bros.? I can't see why you wouldn't like this. Not a good starting point for anyone new to the series though and if you don't like it I don't think this movie does anything that'll change minds.

It wasn't meant to be an entry point to the series, it was meant to be the movie equivalent of VB Season 8 so they could try to put as much of a bow on the series as possible under the assumption that it would be the last time they'd ever have an opportunity to tell VB stories, while still leaving it open-ended enough to allow stories in the setting to continue in the event that the series was one day revived or extended.
