Mantic is releasing and Epic Scale game in their own setting....maybe. Sounds like they want some feedback. Rules in the link above, looks pretty solid ruleswise.

I'm quite surprised they went with Warpath instead of Kings of War given it's their stronger IP and there aren't the fifty thousand fan rulesets and STLs for Warmaster there are with Epic.
Clearly from the video they weren't expecting Legions Imperialis and were anticipating they'd be filling a niche GW would continue ignoring, so it's pretty refreshing to see their honesty about being unsure which way to steer their boat. Kind of a crappy spot to be in when you know GW are going to totally suck all the oxygen out of the room for at least a year.

KoW is a more successful game but not a stronger IP, it's barely an IP, it's generic fantasy and there definitely are fifty thousand STLs in 10mm fantasy including all the fringe GW nations, lots of historicals, LotR and other spinoffs. Mantic trying to get into a small scale generic fantasy market would maybe sell the rulebook and probably close to zero models.

I guess it meant that if somebody saw "Kings of War" on a box, they'd probably know where it came from. If someone says "Firefight" or "Warpath" almost none would have a clue.
You're right there's a lot of 10mm fantasy, but the same could be said of scifi before getting anywhere near the Not-40k stuff.

Very true, Warpath has been starved for attention for a long time.
