I painted this venerable dreadnought for a friend and I am really happy with the result, the banners and the gold in particular. First time doing banners like that, I used thick card paper and applied modpodge to fix them. The banner poles are just 2 nails fixed in holes i drilled.

these banners look a bit retro to me, reminds me of 2nd edition books illustrations. Or of those banners on the russes
