Hey Dakka's, So I relatively recently (read: month ago + - ) bought about 250 euros worth of Leagues of Votann bro's in a city visit..
I really like the bulk of the troops and the hoverbikes etc, not so much the caterpillartrucks so I skipped on those.

Anyway, doing a scan of the leagues and their schemes online kindof was a letdown on the Major leagues, none of the paintschemes appeals to me and before you rush to the comment section to make that generic "just paint them how you like to" advice (I don't mean anything with this statement but just saying so those trying to help don't fill up this thread with that) ..I don't like to "paint them randomly" as I rather tie them to existing background/lore and have pretty much ran out of options on the primaries.

You see, I have 3 40K armies already; Orks(blood axes), Tyranids(custom though based on hive fleet gorgon) and Craftworlds (Yme-Loc and Lugganath alliance, illustration shade)

And also 3 AOS armies being Cities (wood elves), Cities (disposessed) and Nurgle (mortals).
And lastly display armies being Seraphon(desert type), StD (vampire style) combined with Death faction units and lastly various beast units painted for the desert.

I lay this out to portray how many different paint-schemes I've used already narrowing down my options not to 'repeat' a scheme.

Anyway, those display armies aside'.. the Orks are already camo, the Tyranids heavily use green and silver, the Craftworlds use red, brown and beige shades, the wood elves bronze, cream and greens, disposessed white, purples and blues but also some turquoise, and the Nurgle army I haven't started on yet but planned to do grey(skin), gold and salmon.

Safe to say I'm having biggu wurituru burocku :/ And no ideas for myself, which is why I hoped the minor league schemes were going to add some inspiration..

Bam, there were no images to the pages of the minor leagues..

What now?

Are there no schemes? Are those schemes simply not added yet to the libraries? Does anyone know of descriptions to the minor league pallets?

Would love some help there.

I think you should paint them in Greyscale. Like you're looking at a B&W photo/movie.
That way they can be forever whatever colors you imagine on any given day & you don't need to pick.

Either that or go with bright glossy NASA white with some metallics.

Have you tried looking at all the old lore based schemes for WFB dwarves, WFB chaos dwarves, AoS Fyreslayers and AoS Khadaron Overlords?

Not that it helps my search for the minor leagues.

Currently contemplating something like this; with dark blue and off-white instead of blue and off-white;

And then instead of the muted red I will either use ice-green (another off white) or ice-violet (another off white)..
Also contemplating black instead of blue though..

Ughh.. colors so hard..
Would be so much easier to know what those minor leagues were supposed to look like :/

Did my leages a light grey for soft clothes and a bleu for armour plates.Same for the vehicles grey chasis bleu armourplates. Some orange hair to remember slayers from fantasie and oranje for energy coils.
