I've mostly been playing smaller games so far this edition, partly to give myself a chance to spend more time with my smaller armies. I'm considering bringing out my harlequins, but I wanted to see how people felt about them at the moment. When I first saw their rules in the index, I was pretty bummed out by their lost flavor and capabilities. But maybe I'm overlooking something.

Are people making harlie-heavy forces work? If so, what's working, and what do I need to watch out for?

Also, is the solitaire as fragile as he looks?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Harlies is basically Aeldar on very hard mode. WE did not only lose almost all special movement rules that made Quins so good, we also didn`t profit from any ouf the game changes 10th did bring to other amries. Improved cover and decreased AP? Doesn't help a faction that only has invul saves. There are still some very good units (bikes can really mess up enemy vehicles, voidweaver is still ok after nerf, DJ with enhancement rocks and solitaire is decent, but we've lost basically all CC output, and both special pistols suffer from increased enemy toughness or loss of special rules. Pure quins have nearly nothing to deal reliably with monsters or elite heavy infantry. You could still try to outscore the enemy since we are still highly mobile (although our troops are only oc1 which clearly sucks...), but don't expect to kill much.
