Are the new Horus Heresy MkIII marines unscaled? And would Primaris arms look out of scale on them?  [RSS] Share on facebook Share on Twitter Submit to Reddit

I am going to try my first kitbashing using a box of the new MK3 marines.

I was wondering, are they markedly different in scale to the MK3 marines that were released a few years back or are they the same size?

I am going to mix them with the odd CSM part and a few Death Guard gubbins (my aim is some heresy-era, Nurgle-corrupted Iron Warriors).

I would if possible like to add a few Primaris arms from my bits box, notably the bare cybernetic ones which fit the Iron Warriors vibe quite well and would still be able to use the MK3 or CSM shoulder guards.

Would the scale match?

They work really well together. I've kitbashed 20 of them to be Chosen and noise marines. All the pieces fit together well and I believe they are the exact same size as the new CSM legionaries.
