Has anyone ever seen this kind of cracking effect before? This is a bones 5 fire giant (grey plastic) primed with Army Painter Matt White. I painted the surface you see with Reaper MSP Crimson Red and painted/brushed a layer of Citadel Mephiston Red over that. After every layer dried white cracks appeared in the paint, Less cracks appeared with each layer, so I just painted the same color over thinking it might cover it up, but it's still showing after a good 4 or 5 layers of paint. I've never seen this before with the Bones 5 grey plastic miniatures before, they've always been much better than the white plastic minis, and I've painted a bunch of them. Anyone know what's causing this or how to fix it?

That looks like the paint having trouble adhering to the primer in that spot. Might be a dodgy batch of primer, or it could be an oily spot on the model that soaked through the primer layer.

I would suggest giving it a wash with warm soapy water or Isopropyl alcohol before trying to put more paint on it.
