I do think I might break out transfers for these lads though. Not 28mm ones, oh no. For I don’t own those. But the Epic ones.

See, I’ve plenty teensy tiny Dark Angels decals for Epic, and they see the right size to add a Chapter Icon to the top left of the Combat Shields.

Bit more productive today, with 3 Volkite Pistols and the remaining Power Sword done in metallics.

Just five more to go (1 Volkite, 4 basic) and I can move to tidy up, wash, then red.

So very almost done. Last four Chainsword/Shield guys I’m doing by degrees. So the shields, swords and shoulder studs are done.

Got another two done in metallics. I wish I was enjoying this squad more.

Should have it all done and dusted tomorrow though. Spesh if I get a second wind this evening and finish the last two.

Pushed through the misery and got the metallics finished. Time to tidy up the many, many splodges, then wash. After that just the red to go.

Tidy up done. Breaking out the Red next, get those lenses and shoulder pads started.

Bloody nearly done. Just need to do glowy type effects on the power weapon blades, and the coils of the Volkite Serpentas.

Getting one of those odd jobs done, specifically painting the alternative turrets for my Sicarans and Predators. Melta Blastguns for the Kratos need spraying though, so will get that done in a bit.

If I add another squad? I think I’ll leave the Jump Packs separate, and maybe use blu-tank to line up the arms and hands. That should allow the painting to be less depressing.

Predator turrets finished. Sicaran turrets just need the bright blue tint to the coils and they’ll be done and all.

Also gonna get either a Spartan or the Cerberus in the spray box, so it’s ready to go tomorrow.

Yup. Metallic spot colours mostly done, and the tracks base coat finished.

Riveting Stuff.

Really chuffed with my brush control on these. Only a few splodges easily neatened up with a dod of Grim Black.

Metallics on the hull done. For the most part. Given the hatch doors are to be red, I’ll need to revisit the odd detail and rivet. Next up once this is dry is the wash, then the red.

Should have this done by the end of the day, even at a sedate pace.

It’s worked really nicely for not a lot of effort. And it gets a top coat of a much more vivid red in a bit which will really brighten it up.

Quad Lascannons needed a quick skoosh with the undercoat, so they’re also currently drying. But those don’t take an awful lot of painting themselves, so should be done before I want me tea.

I'll need to see it with the sponsons on, Doc, but at first blush I do wonder if you've gone a little heavy with the red on the sides.

Sponsons nearly done. Just need their top cost of red, then the rivety bits on the red.

It should look better once they’re on, as there’s a big old void of black where their hull mounts sit. So getting a variety of colours in that section will make it look quite different.

FIN. For now. I need to wash some of the metallics, but with two other big tanks to go, I’ll do that as a batch, I think.

It looks great. I really like the red accents. Red and black were my school colors in high school too.
