I have oft joked that mantic is Spartan games but more fiscally responsible... didn't realize it was quite so literal.

If mantic goes out of business after this, then we can officially call Halo a cursed ip for miniatures gaming

I will support them with this, I missed out on the last one and a 40mm scale game sounds interesting.

Interesting to see it will be in 40mm scale if I read the article correctly. Wonder if we will get an MCP/Shatterpoint type of game with this.

I'm super glad to see more and more companies using 1/48 scale for gaming.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

Where are you guys seeing the scale listed? Did they change the linked announcement/article as I don't see it there. I guess I should go measure my actionclix tomorrow just in case...

I hope this turns out better for them than it did for Spartan.

Actionclix should be 1:48 like the old heroclix before their scale jump.

I don't see scale listed anywhere either. It's not helping we're getting two completely different scales in this thread as 40mm and 1:48 are not the same thing. 1:48 is around 34-35mm. I see in another thread it was edited out of the article and used 40mm tall -- so 37-38mm.

It’s closer to 32mm scale.

The Spartans themselves are 40mm which caused confusion when they mentioned it. Hence editing out.

Spartans are tall in setting. So it’s usual heroic scale.

A friend of mine is really into the game, when he was having some work done in his house he told the contractor he wanted a Halo Statue in the living room, a Halo Statue in the kitchen and a Halo Statue in the bed room.

The contractor made a note and then proudly showed my buddy the Spartan statues he'd put in each room.

He was livid, this wasn't what he wanted, and he insisted they be taken out. So the contractor removed them, replacing them with Covenant statues but once again my friend screamed this was not what he asked for.

Although the contractor knew the rule of 3 in joke-telling he decided to skip ahead and asked just what my friend wanted.

He walked to table and mimed picking something up and putting it to his ear, he said "This! It goes ring and you pick it up and you say 'Hallo, 'Stat you?"

The contractor shook his head and realized he was caught in a joke from the era of landlines.
