I've recently looked at getting back into the hobby after a hiatus of many years - I started in the late 80's! I read somewhere that GW was going to re-release the classic Marauder Giant but that it was only going to be made-to-order. I could never afford it back in the day but I always wanted one.

Have I missed the window or has it not been released yet? If the latter, is there any indication of a release date and/or how much it will cost?

Not happened yet - just this Giant and the Bonegrinder Giant have returned.

The MTO was announced about a fortnight ago, so it still could be a while off - Old World Almanack – Orc and Goblin Classics Return to Made to Order.

Set up a saved search on eBay and just let time work on your side. I picked up the old metal one with the gravestone axe for just £18 by just biding my time for a bargain. Yes it needs a bit of tlc but that makes it all the more rewarding. When I'll ever get round to doing it is another matter...
