KR do them. I have 3 with X-Wing foam in them, with trays for dials and tokens.

Hello, you can check Sir Wilibald's printable paper hangars for X-Wing : https://sirwillibald.com/games/x-wing-miniatures-games/
Feldherr has a nice range of custom foams for X-Wing as well, and carrying small boxes and bags : https://www.feldherr.net/for/star-wars-x-wing

I realize I'm probably preaching to the choir, but I hate paying more for the storage/carrying cases than the game! But I also want to safeguard my investments! I appreciate the leads, and will see where they lead! Automatically Appended Next Post:
Are the Sir Wilibald's basically just little boxes? What do you carry those around in then, lol?

I always put them in a fishing tackle box or similar.

That would cost a lot more money, the models fit in the boxes perfectly so there is no chance of them breaking unless you are really clumsy with them.

Ah, a perfect candidate for a game using tiny ships and precise measurements!
Trust me, they are good. I flew with mine from New Zealand to a system open in Australia with zero issues, the only thing I have had broken in over a decade was the plug on a Lancer and that is just because someone sat on the box!

Yes, they Sir Wilibald's hangars are little (but suprisingly sturdy) boxes. Back when I played X-Wing (first edition), I could bring along quite a few models + associated gears (cards, tokens...) in the base box of the game. I also used those boxes to put multiple models in the "generic" slots of my Feldherr foams.
