I've had some good learning games with this list so far.

2 games against Mahu's word bearers- 1win, 1 draw

1 game against an interesting (competative) undivided list- victorious slaughter

1 game against dark angels-  loss (due to BAD rolling on my part)

1 game against capt k's ultramarine gladiator list (I think)- draw

2 games against capt k's emperors children- 1 crushing victory, 1 solid victory (good rolling on my part contributed in a large amount to both of these)

So far it has done very good, considering the high level of optimization in most of the lists I've used it against.

Meh. It's the Lysander bomb. No surprises there. Getting 25 terminators in on one turn is always a nice little bonus.

drop the tornados and the libby's thunder hammer for 305 pts or so, then do something cool with them.

Suggestions:
3 whirlwinds
a couple small assault squads with plasmapistols and meltabombs
dunno, anything else realy. more scouts would be fine.

The speeders are way too important of objective grabbers to get rid of. Plus, the tournament this was designed for is very objective heavy.

one would expect that deep striking terminators combined with indirect fire vehicles in your deployment zone ought to be pretty much a sure thing.

Objective grabbing with AV10 vehicles is a risky proposition.

Objective heavy or not you're better off with crap that does damage the whole game instead of 80 pt vehicles that claim objectives only if a hormagaunt doesn't punch it to death first.

Not if you go second and turbo boast to an objective.

hehe. a hormagaunt punching through it...ha...good luck with that...anyhoo, yeah the list is pretty optimized.....Me_Person's dice rolling is crazy sick. I never have seen a person make more 5+ inv saves.....unreal. On a related note...I still want a rematch with my EC list. But I also want to throw the SOB at you as well. Perhaps I'll get around to rematch with my ultras. But you've pretty much played every army I own except my SOB. I think that they will be a challenge for you.. Capt K

If I can make it this saturday, I'll be ready for a rematch and a game against your SOB. That will be an interesting game.

I wonder how this list has done in GT's. Does anyone know? I imagine it would be alot of fun to play, but I just could not stand painting all my models yellow (yellow blows).

This is one list I would LOVE to face with my Grey Knights, my mystics would be working overtime.

Well, every list has that one or two things that really mess it up. In this case, any inquisitor that has a mystic and a plasma cannon servitor... ouch...

Necrons are also very annoying.

It is a ton of fun to play. Yellow is *donkey* to paint, but it's not enough to drive me off from playing it, especially cause I already bought everything.

I dont know about GTs, but in one of the battle reports I read from adepticon, a very similar lysander list got beat by lost and the damned due to the presence of An'graath the Unbound uber daemon of death.

Who the hell is An'graath the Unbound uber daemon of death? More importantly, how can I get him to join my Black Legion? This is, obviously, the missing piece in my army of death.

As a quick aside, yellow sucks, and blue is much nicer. How legal would it be to play a Lysander Wing style army painted as Crimson Fists rather than Imperial Fists. Using all IF rules of course. For a lot of other chapters you can use the successors color scheme for the originals Angels of Absolution for Dark Angels or Flesh Tearers for Blood Angels, whatever. Would that be legal? Probably not as CF have their own (crappy) rules.

With a bit of manipulation, you could probabaly squeeze in another Tornado, which is +1 Asscan, aka awesome. I would try for it.
Plus, ignore Nyralothoteps advice. Paint of yellow, go with the most obnoxious yellow you can find. You can use modeling to your advantage, as Yak say, so if you paint your guys a yellow that blinds the the opponent, thus forcing them to conceed, all the better.

I am not really sure how an all terminator list would have problems with necrons Especially if they drop all together.

Just get in close, finish off their high output and mobile high VP squads (destroyers/immortals), and then mass powerfist charging for the win.

Take some finesse yes, but you should be able to outshoot Necrons when you tack on Fear of the Darkness breaking one or two of their squads.

I've found out from experience that Necrons take around an entire turn of shooting to kill one squad of 5-6 terminators. They've gotta deal 6 wounds per terminator, which means 18 shots. So it takes 45 warriors rapid firing to kill one squad of terminators. Or 15 destroyers to kill 3 terminators. If you use terrain even a little to your advantage and limit his firing lanes a tiny bit you can effectively limit him to killing maybe a squad a turn at the upper limit.

Necrons arn't hard to beat, just annoying. I dont have anything to kill monoliths and so sticking a monolith up front forces a target priority test every time I want to shoot, even with ld10 you might fail one in a game. So once again, not hard, but annoying.

Angraath is the forge world blood thirster. 888 points for a T8 W8 S10 2+/4+ flying daemon with 8-11 attacks on the charge, plus a wip that is S7 ap2 assault 2 range 12"

I took this list (almost identical) to Adepticon Gladiator and the 1850 tournament in march. I came in 10th in the 1850, very close (13 points) so I needed a little better battle points.

Gladiator. I'm not sure if Angraath was used against 2 lysander wings, but I won the game that I played against a lost and the damned with it on Friday of the convention. Good game. I just took the objectives. Well painted opponent and nice guy. Not sure where the report came out of a loss.

Now, I did suffer a serious loss against Drop Pods that same day.

Also, as far as necrons, nope not a problem. They have such little ap2 guns, and you drop so many of them in the shooting. In tournament I phased all my opponents out.

1. Take the speeders, you have to have them for objectives.
2. Drop the tank hunter. You don't need it. When you start rolling either you will get a 6, or you won't. I generally have 1 squad with it if I want.
3. I generally take 6 man squads, and have a little less assault cannons. I did this becuase I found that generally everything was dead or decimated within 24 inches of my drop anyway when I landed. I wanted the 6 man squads for victory point denial.
4. I didn't like the psyker much. You have to get really close to your opponent to use him, and I was always deploying with the scouts, so I was farther out, and I don't like risking rolling on the deepstrike table.

tank hunter gives you a compelling advantage against AV12 vehicles (falcons in particular). I wouldn't drop it.

Forgot to add to the initial list of test games,

1 game against necrons- 1 crushing victory

All I killed was the nightbringer and one necron squad of ten, but I took 2 table quarters. He killed 1 terminator squad (lysander's squad plus lysander), and dropped another below half. I failed 4 target priority tests and wasted a total of 32 assualt cannon shots on the monolith because of it.
