In something of a shallow philosophical mood, and I got to wondering, for those folks who enjoy the odd sports game in their video game life, how do you play the "player career mode" that has become popular in many franchises?
I guess what I'm curious about is, whether it's an American football game, world football game (soccer), baseball, hockey, cricket, etc. and you go about building either yourself, or a character to play out a career in the game do you have certain aims? Do you have a goal of only playing for one team (whether its your favorite in that sport, or just the one chosen for you by the game, but by golly you're gonna be a one club person!), or do you chase the virtual paychecks, and go for any team willing to pay for your pixel-self? or do you just opt for the "I'll save at the end of the session, whatever happens, happens" and play for as many clubs as the game decides for you?
Or, do you even ignore career player modes in favor of manager modes, or just straight pick-up games with the kids or friends?
**Obviously, if you do not enjoy sports games periodically, no real need to state that
