In brief, I have made a siocast version of Camels for my website, however, I wanted to ask opinions on the size of the packs. Do you believe in smaller packs (3-4) or larger cavalry contingents, 12 or so? Scaled to 28mm

I personally think 3-5 would be best. At least I myself am seldom interested in more than 5 of the same version.
You could of course offer a discounted 20 pack for buyers that want to "go big or go home"

Three to four seem ideal to budget and ease of build up. Thinking was to test the popularity, then expand to another sio cast set, with more range and function if proven well.

Have you thought to also provide a set of rider legs in natural poses? I assume a lot of buyers would have a certain style of upper torso for their collection in mind that they could source from a supplier of their choice but in my experience getting good looking rider legs for camels tends to be difficult

I had, but then there is a rub. You can do fantasy riders, human, riders, military uniforms. The camel itself is versatile but the range of options make buckling down on one side a challenge. I mean, you can do Romans, Arab fighters etc

Fair enough.
Anyway: the camels look nice, so I hope they will be a good seller

They're certainly interesting but I have to second the point about the legs. I have some cavalry around but the legs probably won't fit. What you could do would be sculpting some basic legs with different outfits (like tunics, full length hoses, perhaps even some armour) and then see if there is a market for them. Perhaps they could also be sold as 3D prints? That seems like a more low-cost approach.
