Hi there,

I am new to this forum and kind of new to Warhammer 40k - I know, that doesn`t seem possible with my age (over 40)....
A friend introduced me to WH40k about last year and I just started to look up fractions and
found the coolest for me are the Imperial knights.

Especially as a beginner, painting the big, flat surfaces seemed inviting to me. My first mini with skin was an ork and I kind of liked painting that too - so I will see where the painting journey will take me - I have an Idea of an Imperial knight overtaken by Orks - could be fun and I allready have seen one here in the Gallery.

As to playing - got to admit I only tried it once and it was a desaster - sooooo many rules and it doesn`t matterif you have the biggest guns if you don`t know all the rules howto use them. I got elliminated in the 2 Testgames I tried with a hardcore 40k gamer - I thought he would help a little, but he came up with all his special moves and whiped the flore with my Knights.

Maybe I`ll stick to painting and trying to get better with that...

Looking forward to seeing your products of creativity and reeding your comments,
Dr.Botnik

Sounds like you met TFG... Bad luck. Welcome to Dakkadakka, we're not all like that.
