Only two things that really stick out to me are these:

4 plasma gun bases will be very vulnerable on their own, they are better mixed in with tactical squads as upgrades. Unless you have a specific role for them that needs them to be separate.

Warhound Titans are also pretty vulnerable, I’ve never really had them perform for me, and every time I shoe horn one into a list it disappoints me. It really doesn’t take a lot of firepower to take one down and for less than 100 points more you can get a Reaver that has better options and survivability, or a bunch of predators or something.

On the plasma the thought is to stick them with the command squad in the Spartan and have them catch bullets that would be going into the tac/missile units instead but mostly because I had the models...

The Warhound would not act as a distraction carnifex? You are right that its a lot of points, maybe a fighter wing would fill the points better as well as something to cap back field objectives?

Truth is, if people see your tacs/missiles as the threat, they’ll happily ignore the plasma gunners and commander. Imo they’re best all lumped in together with the commander in one detachment. That way, they gain FNP from the Medicae. Things die so easily in this game that splitting troops into smaller units isn’t much of an advantage imo.

As for the Warhound, in a 3000 point game, it’s not got the staying power to be an effective distraction carnifex, it’s got two voids and four wounds. It’ll last two turns at best, and the damage output per point just isn’t enough for me. I’ve tried running them as squads of one or two, and keeping them on the flanks out of the way etc, but all that does is make them less effective by keeping them out of the main fighting. Generally in a large game your opponent will have enough nasty units to be able to deal with a warhound without really needing to compromise on any other targets.
