Title says it all, but not a singed deal yet.

Killteam: Has anyone tried cultists and Gellerpox in 3.0 yet? How good are they, and is buying the mutations box needed to make cultists playable?

Necro: I have Blackstone Fortress with almost every expansion, a Davinite priest, a chaos familiar that came with a Terminator Lord and a heavy flamer from Dark Vengeance. How well do healots play, what god should I worship, and which special weapon is good for a starter gang? Which brute should I go for after a few games?

Two more things: can a ganger dual wield two close weapons of the same type, and has anyone used the Ambul as a Sump Beast?

Can't say how strong they are and I am not sure what you mean by "mutations box" but if it is a box with Mutants and Torments than playing without those doesn't make much sense. The entire shtick of this team is that basic Cultists turn into Mutants and these in turn, transform into Torments over the course of the game, becoming more and more dangerous.

yupp, getting a Chaos Cults team together is quite expensive in case you missed Ashes of Faith, or didnt already have all those models.

As for how teams will be faring in the new edition, we just got our boxes this weekend - give it time. I am yet to even cracking open the Core Rulebook myself, was planning to do that now..

That's right, with the amount of changes I expect a HEAVY errata/patch in 3 months. There's no point obsessing about the rules in their current form due to their really short life expectancy.

Then I'll hold off on the time being.

As for Helots, I heard they are a little hard to play. Any advice on them, or should I focus on only one of the original six as a starter instead?

(I forgot to mention that I had a poor win record when I played other miniature games)
