Hey all,
A special one for me here. I'm diving back into the epic scale after more than 30 years. I remember playing Space Marine then Epic with my brother and now Legions Imperialis with my own son. We got our first game in and he annihilated me. My goodness, Rend on those Veletarii is nuts.

I went for traitor guard and loyalist marines. I had to do the Ultramarines. Some may say "boring" but I think the blue looks great at this scale. I wish I had not chosen to paint the Ultra symbol on the troops now as I realize I will have to do this for all future troops as well

For the guard I wanted a colour that would contrast against the blue of the Ultras and we settled on red (classic Red v Blue). I ended up with the Prosperine Spireguard of the Thousand Sons.

Titans next. Legio Xestobiax and Legio Oberon.

Thanks for looking

Hey all.
Not posted in a while as I've been building terrain.
Just finished up the first of the Warhounds. It was originally going to be legio Oberon but in the end I went for legio praesagius. I'm well happy with the result. There is just something timeless about the blue, white and gold colour scheme.

Thanks for looking

Great look, I wonder how different it is painting these guys compared to the old epic 6mm ones.

Hey, thanks Chris
That is a good question. I'm going to say very similar and very different
Similar in that the basic marine is one colour with the bolt gun and backpack picked out in black. The titans are all large panels with trim.
Different in that that have way more detail so you can go nuts if you want. Different on a personal level as well. My awareness of painting has changed so much since 199?
As I mentioned above. This is a great nostalgic journey for me

Finally the traitor Warhound. In the end I made a custome scheme.

Simple but it gets them on the table
Vim.

Looking very nice. The blue'n'white Warhound is inspiring.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Love them! I went Prospero Spireguard too, and I really like your armor paint job on the Leman Russes.
