Had a fun idea based on Sigismund and his Black Templars from M32 to M34... Age of Rebirth era.

I know this is a nebulous time, but you could have a lot of conversion fun with this list, dreadnought with Imperial Fist honours still gracing their carapaces, older marks of armor with a bit of newer tech thrown in.

Would it be better to run this as a 30k HH army, or as a 40k army with Sig as a "Chapter Master" and using mainly old tech rhinos, no primaris anything, and no LR Crusaders.

I see possible issues with both ideas... got any ideas to assist with my latest fever dream?

I mean for 40k a solid chunk of Firstborn rules are gone.

For HH? Eh it's basically just Templar Assault RoW. Probably easier to do in terms of rules.

Black Marines? There's at least 2 factions of black clad marines in HH - Dark angels & Ravenguard. Can either of those take the Templar assault RoW? (I don't know, I don't play loyalists....)

As for newer mks of armor mixed in? Nobody at my local shops would care. At tourneys? I've no idea (& don't care) as I'm not a tourney player. But you should ask the people you actually intend to play with.
