I acquired the 2003? 2002? box set of blood bowl some time around 2012-2013 and have had it sitting around for years without painting the human team or the orc team, well its about time I changed that!
I have only previously used the board for a few games of blood bowl at tournaments with an elf team, but my kids are getting bigger and I think I'll need a few more teams to offer them something to play with or against me.
I don't know if I'll do anything fancy yet with painting the teams. I have primed them with my airbrush, I might do some drybrushing to do more zenithal or "slap chop" or whatever. I think I might try painting them with my armypainter speedpaint 2.0 paints that I have in colors close to the traditional reikland reavers and gouged eye team colors. So I might try doing things like pre-highlighting and pre-shading with some colors, I guess we will have to see how it ends up doing!

Very nice! Still my favourite ever board game. Enjoy painting them, that plastic human team and I won a fair few store tournies back in the day.

Started working on the orc linemen.
Tried some blue in the deep cracks of the orc skin, purple in the folds of the cloth, some ice yellow dried brush on the orc skin, and barbarian flesh on the top of the cloth, then used green speedpaint and red speedpaint.

Got some more basecoating/speedpainting done on the linemen. I think I'm done doing some batch-painting on the three and now I'll have to do some highlighting and whatnot on an individual level. You can probably tell I've done some small variations on them in order to help them stand out from each-other while still keeping them mostly the same.

Been really busy with family stuff, but still finding some time to plug away at these orc linemen. I think after I'm done with them I'll switch to the human linemen to work with different colors for a while, then I'm not sure which order to work on them afterwards.
I was going through stuff and found two out of three block dice so now I'm wondering if I can even find the missing third one, or if perhaps I should just go ahead and order a new set of block dice, so any suggestions on some good dice would be appreciated. I found one place where they're part color so that's cool and interesting, a little yellow and blue mixed in makes it less boring to look at.
I've been thinking after I'm done with this box, whether I should paint HeroQuest or my 3rd edition Space Hulk box. Right now I'm leaning towards Space Hulk because there's some sponge stippling I've been wanting to try on the genestealers.
