WHAT IS "28"?
What started out as a fan-generated way to game in the darker spaces of the Warhammer 40,000 universe (Inquisitor28 or INQ28)
has grown over the last 15 years or so to become a unique and diverse art movement broadly labeled "28". Painters and gamers and people who enjoy being part of a creative community have continued to look further ahead, pushing the boundaries of wargaming and what can be done around the "toy soldiers" that we love. Some of these people are classically-trained artists, others have felt compelled to explore what is possible within their own passions and skillsets, all to bring something new to the proverbial table.

WHAT IS "28 MAGAZINE"?
Launched in 2019, 28 Magazine is an online publication created and curated by an evolving team of enthusiastic people who want to celebrate the incredible creativity of hundreds and thousands of artists around the world. These artists work in a variety of approaches - miniature painting, illustration, photography, sculpting, writing - that have been explored in the first SIX online issues of 28 Magazine. WHAT IS "28 COLLECTED"?
From the release of the first issue, readers have been asking for physical versions of each volume of 28 Magazine. In 2024, Team 28 approached Dave Taylor Miniatures - publisher of more than a dozen bespoke books about the miniatures hobby/art - to help them bring a curated collection of articles from the first six issues of 28 Magazine to life in a physical form. Now, after much discussion and countless hours of behind-the-scenes effort, this collaborative team are ready to present this high-quality tome that wonderfully presents the work of so many artists. This is a lavish, 320-page, hardback book that you will find full of inspirational images and ideas!

I have minis in the book, but unless they sort out EU friendly shipping I can't justify getting it.

Well, seems the project was funded within hours.

As for myself, I perfer using the digital publications, so will be passing on it. Nice to hear it was a success though! This can only bode well for the future of 28

I sent them a message after the first issue asking for a physical version, so I'm backed and happy for the opportunity

My copy arrived earlier this week. Just had a chance to have a look through and it is a lovely book, definitely worth the money paid. I would have appreciated some of the pictures being a little bigger, but that is probably more to do with me getting older than anything else.
