A long time ago, I remember a "Frodo with the One Ring" release. But there was no model, just some footprints on a base.
Either my mind is playing tricks on me.... again (Date that one, hehehe.) or I'm the only one who remembers this model.
Help Me Dakka-Wan Forumobi, you're my only hope.

While the "Just a base with footprints" part is, to my knowledge, only an urban legend, there was indeed a GW release of an "Invisible Frodo" miniature that was made from clear material, released in 2005 with the first wave of the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings miniatures:
It occasionally appears on ebay or such places, and is only moderately expensive.

It was real. It was a limited editon of 200 (America only) when the Mines of Moria box released.

Thank you! Now I have evidence of my sanity!

It was released in the U.S., but way before the Mines of Moria boxset. They were given away by GW at conventions where they demo'd LotR during those initial release years of 2002-2004. I obtained 3 of them back then (down to only 1 now).
