There are a range of them that I know have come up.

The one that I remember the most is when they used to consider all grenades super futuristic miniaturised and dispensed, and Bill King originally described Ragnar using micronades by the handful dispensed, but that was changed to just normal grenades.

I believe Primarch Rubinek was changed via reprint to Chapter Master.

Any others you can think of?

Never been reprinted. The only bit that I could find was that the author said he meant, "Chapter Master."

The forward to the Blood Ravens Omnibus says that Goto made some changes from the three included novels' individual releases, but doesn't specify what they are.

I'm almost certain that there was a reprint of the Inquisition War trilogy which replaced Grimm the squat with Grimm the techpriest, but I've never actually seen a copy in the wild.

I've got a copy of the original inquisition war books and a copy of the omnibus with a white cover.

But iirc the white covered book didn't change anything, it just had additional text with a reader discussing aspects of the books being farfetched, or that the squad was a thread that had been cut by the tyranid.

EDITL reddit says that grill the techpriest only got retconned in a short story Watson wrote, not the original trilogy:

Was the indominus timeline retcon part of a reprint, or just newer books changing dates?

Both I think. When the third part of Dark Imperium came out, the first was retconned.

I recently read one of the Indominus books and there is a bit at the beginning from the author saying he had updated a few of the dates to better fit with the timeline.

I believe that the story involved was originally printed in Inferno magazine with the word “primarch,” but revised to not include that term in Into the Maelstrom.

Rubinek is definitely a primarch in Into The Maelstrom.

Although I've never really seen it as a particular problem. It doesn't seem too out there to believe that some rinky-dink Chapter somewhere refers to their Master as 'primarch'.

The Iron Hearts. Wonder why we haven't heard any more about these guys.

Well obviously because they were one of the founding legions that was erased from history.

Led by Ferrus Cardio.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

I remember when people used to ask about the missing two legions on Bolter and Chainsword I would always reply, "They're the Iron Hearts and the Valedictors. Case closed!"

I thought WD retconned the Valedictors into a non-first founding chapter.

I think someone needs to make a Primarch Rubinek model.

Excuse me, but the topic is “How often does BL retcon,” not “How often does WD retcon.”
