Hello

When Underworlds first came out I bought a number of the warbands. I've been pretty inactive in the hobby the last decade and they seemed like reasonably priced little painting projects with a nice variety of races. Well - after 7 short years I finally got an urge to paint again and finished my first warband (The Sepulchral Guard). It's my understanding that years back they switched the warbands to including pre-made decks that would let you play that warband forever. And I seem to recall they re-released the Sepulchral Guard a few years ago with that updated deck. I went hunting on Ebay, etc tonight to see if I could find that deck and was surprised not to find any.

When I was poking around though, I was looking at some of the newer warbands and it seems like they don't come with the card decks at all anymore? Does the game not use cards anymore (other than the fighter cards)? Would the original fighter cards that came with my skeleton warband still be useable then?

Just thought it'd be nice to have the updated cards handy if I ever got a chance to actually play the game (have always mostly just been a painter).
Thanks!

Underworlds uses pre-built decks now. "Just add fighter cards". There are 2 decks in the starter set, and 3 more for purchase.

Fighter cards are either:
In the not-repeated Warbands of Embercard pack (16 warbands), *
In one of the 4 re-packaged packs of Warbands from that set of 16,
Downloadable from WarCom **
Or missing, presumed re-releasing later on.

* Mash the "Make some more" button regularly: https://www.warhammer.com/en-US/shop/warhammer-underworlds-warbands-of-embergard-2024-eng
** Some are totally redone, or are lumped in the "Warbands of the Grand Alliances" download: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/warhammer-underworlds/
