Hey folks,

I used to play SAA back in N2/N3 but haven't played in a while. Some of my friend have recently shown an interest into getting into the game for a change from 40k, so I had planned to break my old models back out. However, with the recent change to N5 I see SAA have been dodoed as a faction which is disappointing.

I quite fancy a change from PanO and it looks like there will be quite a bit of YJ being played. What faction would you recommend I try for N5?

Do you have any preference in aesthetics or lore or anything?

I guess O-12 would be a bit similar to PanO in that they do have good shooting and units that tend to do one thing really well.

I quite like the Mobile Brigada for Corregidor and the look of some of the CAA and Aleph stuff. I'd be quite interested to play a bit of a different game style than the SAA for seeing as I'll basically need to relearn the game from scratch

Corregidor can give you a bit of a fun hacking game. Billie & Jazz are a premier hacking option with Moran's providing solid repeater coverage. Brigada are a solid enough duo, though these days I prefer the more outlandish styles of Nomads, where Corregidor is a bit more of a straightforward military force.

They do also have a decent amount of combat jumpers and parachute units, something that was never PanO strenght if I recall. Plus some units with forward deployment, and some wild close combat options in the Lobos and Diablos fireteam.
