For the first time in my 40k world I bought a non-imperisl army.
I bought Ork Kommandos for Kill Team.
Besides the Nob, which I have to take and the Grot and his Bomb Squig which are amazingly fun.
Is there a standard build for these guys?
I just want something that I can take to the shop and play with and have fun.
The other players are Vespid, Tau, Imperial Agents with Sisters of Silence, Mechanicus, regular Space Marines, and something claw... which are Chaos Marines. If that helps to know who my opponents will be.

It's easy, really. Magnetise the Nob for both weapon options. Build all specialists with maybe one exception. Fill in the rest with basic Boyz.
The exception is Snipa Boy. Used to be an absolute workohorse, with new rules is very bad (needs to stand still to attack, which in KT is...just no). Your call, whether you want him, and maybe hope for a patch that makes him more useful (as you won't be able to field that many models anyway) or just build another Boy.
And the Grot is not just fun, he's a game winning piece, the ultimate scenario monkey

Oh, thanks! I was about to start building the sniper first...
The ones I thought about building 1st were the Comms, Rokkit and the Grot.

Note that the model limit in a team is one lower than the number of models you can build out of the box. So you will always have one Ork not in play - in that case you don't lose much whether it's the Snipa or a regular Kommando.
You may as well build him just for the reason you like the model and maybe he'll get patched in the future.

Oh, OK. Not used to Kill Team yet.
I am buying third party heads though, so I can give berets to everyone... can't be a proper Commando without a beret.

There are a couple of cool heads there (the SAS one!) , but I also replaced/ modified a few of them. Not a fan of those ork gas masks.

So this is what I should look at building:
1 Kommando Nob
3 Kommando Boyz
1 Kommando Slasha Boy
1 Kommando Breacha Boy
1 Kommando Dakka Boy
1 Kommando Comms Boy
1 Kommando Rokkit Boy
1 Kommando Grot and Bomb Squig
Oh and the Sniper, in case he gets better.

Yup, but a Burna Boy and two regular Boyz instead of 3.

Whoops. Missed that guy. Automatically Appended Next Post: Thanks for the help.
Modeling these guys should be fun, wonder if they look better on a Necromunda style base or something else.
And I do like the SAS watch cap Ork. I thought about a whole team of guys like that... but can't decide if those or berets would look better.
Not a fan of the masks.

I built all the specialists myself, but then again, I am getting a second box which I will make into regular boyz (to use with my 2nd ed 40K games).
So the snipa boy got shafted in KT24? Still playing KT21 myself.. where the Snipa boy is a solid take

I built - and use - all of the specialists. Yes, even though Snipa wasn't done any favors with the current rules.
Why? Because I like the model. I COULD play a boring ass generic Kommando. Or I could play a cool looking sniper model....
There's not really a choice.

I don't see why the Sniper is so disliked. He doesn't seem so bad.
Of course, I didn't see him how he used to be.

Can you elaborate on your experience playing him that gave you this impression?
Straight "heavy" on main profiles means opponents have to be nice enough to move somewhere where they can get shot by him. Which means he'll never get off a shot unless the opponent doesn't know how to position or the board is set up in an unusual way.
KT is not 40k where you can just set up and then point at targets and roll dice. Very often even full movement is not enough to get a bead on enemies by flanking cover or getting within 2". Without moving, best he can do is slightly discourage enemies from moving to a certain area.
And a basic boy isn't boring! Free Smoke Grenades every turn!!! That is beyond awesome.
