I know that Warmachine hasn’t had much traction in recent years, but I’m a bit surprised there wasn’t already a thread for the Keynote last night at Adepticon…if for no other reason than I get to post news to Dakka!

Some of my key takeaways (disclaimer: I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of the current lore!):

- Uld Umbrey Khador faction announced and previewed. I really like the look to these guys, and the aesthetic is really cool. I get a “Grymkin” vibe from them. Lots of “Were-creatures” it looks like. I dig it!

- Gravediggers Expansions look solid

- Trolls are getting a new Kithguard army that looks pretty swell!

- One BIG surpise is that the app is moving to something that seems like its going to give you better bang for your buck. Price changes to $5.99/ month or $69.99/ year starting in April, BUT you also get Exulon Nostilla and Aberation minis. Those minis are going to be hard plastic, which is super cool, and are a 40mm Journeyman Warcaster and 80mm super-heavy monstrosity. MSRP says $69.99, so if you get it for ‘free’ with the app yearly subscription, it seems like the deal has definitely gotten better!

- They announced a partnership with FLG for Warmachine themed playmats

- They announced (confirmed? reaffirmed?) that returning armies of legend would be Infernals, Crucible Guard, Convergence, and Grymkin

- Probably my biggest surprise is that they’re bringing back Press Gangers! That’s really cool! I know that a lot of people (myself included) really didn’t like the Press Ganger program getting removed, so SFG’s decision to bring it back is exciting!

So, yeah, pretty neat!
