Subject: 1490 DOOM - 28mm skirmish game by Buer Games
1490 Doom is a tabletop war game set in a grimdark world between 1490 and 1494, where players lead Doom Companies—warriors united by desperation and survival instinct—through a world plagued by the creeping death. Navigate treacherous landscapes, scavenge for resources, and engage in brutal combat as you fight to outlast the horrors that threaten to consume all.

Looks like another game that wants to sell through visuals the idea of playing it, rather than an actually interesting, playable game. Perfect for todays' gaming market of rampant western consummerism - buying a lot of stuff on a whim never to use it. The point of the product is to provide a dopamine hit when buying it, so it doesn't have to be designed to be actually used anyway, not to mention used long-term. They don't even bother showing the rules and Tabletop Minions stamp only tells me "a boring design where players roll plenty of dice but neither make any interesting decisions nor are offered tools to creatively solve problems posed by the game in a fulfilling way".

If you want the rules, GMG already reviewed it, in his usual "man reads book on camera" fashion
I'm not sure if I agree that the glut of indy wargames is down to western consumerism tho. Like we haven't all dreamed of making our own since forever? It's more that self publication has become casually accessible and wargames (and RPGs, of course) have become a new venue for self expression for even the lowly geek (to speak nothing of influencers), and this includes artistic self expression, not just your talent at rules writing. So yes, we do have glut of games that are all vibe, no rules, but that's fine. They still provide a service beyond consumerist interpassivity - a framework for one's hobbying. Like, I think TC has aggressively mediocre rules but you can't deny thousands of people who have never played it are enjoying painting and kitbashing their edgy teen grimdark doomed to die mud fighters that GW's pivot to noblebright no longer provides, and that's just as valid a hobby as balanced competitive play.

Trench Crusade is riding on the whole INQ28/Blanchitsu wave from the last couple of years, filled with all sorts of indie projects, spinoffs, and what not. So in that regard DOOM 1490 isn’t that different or “ripoff”.
1490 DOOM looks pretty fun, fast and brutal. tick, tick, TICK. You only need 3 guys, the 'official' models look great, I like the idea behind the game.
The main issues for me are the round board, which looks great but I'll need to get a local handwear store or carpenter to sort that out for me and the biggy, sadly, is their reliance on AI voice overs for the lore podcasts and videos.
