Hi,

I bought the last 2 editions of Warhammer Combat Patrol magazines 35 & 36 Chaos Havoc's on the spur of the moment when in WH Smith in Glasgow - I have no chaos marines just liked the look of the figures.

Can anyone suggest a lieutenant or captain type figure to add to these was thinking of a set of ordinary legionnaires as well maybe - please excuse terms as I collect UM's.

Ty

I suppose the Chaos Marines Combat Patrol set is worth looking at, as it has a healthy mix of units including a Master of Possession and the expected Marines.

Otherwise, the Chaos Marine Lord is a good looking model.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

The only character that join Havocs is a Warpsmith.

Legionnaires can be joined by most other characters.

Ty to both above

Would it be better to get a set of legionnaires or the kill team?

Was reading an aspiring champion is like a sergeant in UM's etc.

Yes, the Aspiring Champion is a sergeant equivalent.

Absolutely get the Kill Team box. It's an extra few bucks (or quid, I believe the term is), but it has a whole extra sprue with extra gear, including the balefire tome, the rotor cannon, and a heavy melee weapon for a second model (in addition to the Champion's power fist). Very much worth the value.

Thank you - that sounds like a good idea if you get extra sprue as well and I get an aspiring champion in it - could it be used with a legionaries set as well - suppose I need to pick a "chapter" now

The regular kit makes 10 models, including the Aspiring Champion. The Kill Team kit makes the same 10 models, but has extra bitz and weapons.

Then there's the Nemesis Claw Kill Team kit, which makes the same 10 models, but has a whole ton of Night Lords bitz to make a separate datasheet (found on WarCom).
