I’m fascinated by the idea of two-tone priming, specifically using a non-traditional “under paint” for a retro Space Wolves army I have planned. Louise of Rogue Hobbies made a great video about this:

And I’ve a notion that something like Bruised Purple or Vampire Violet from the Colour Forge range would work well underneath Wolfkin Grey to give the armour more interesting shadows than Matt Black. Does anyone have any experience with this, or better yet… actual colour theory to suggest one way or another that this is a good idea :/
