I read the plot is that this show is a "What If" type scenario in the world of Spartacus?

While I don't dislike the actor who plays Ashur (he was in The Expanse for a bit), this seems like going to the well too many times.

At the start the shade of Lucretia (Lucy Lawless) visits him in the Underworld and offers him a chance to try again - its def interesting idea that I have not seen in other shows as a full season.
