My Gunpla sensibilities like these Titanfall ones, although I'd maybe still contemplate on the exact tone of that orange..

Candy Apple Red carwash finish looks pretty good too.

My least fave is the neon one. it gives me synthwave vibes and I'm too old to consider synthwave cool

If you could make it candy apple red and gold Ala Iron Man, then it would be perfect.

If you can make a metallic red. I say go for it. But if you like the Titanfall markings, you can add them in as a contrasting color.

Its your call.
I would go for Titafall.
Because I like White and Orange combo, It has that (District 9) feel.
And because Titanfall2 is one of me favorite games.

The concern with the Neon Nights color scheme is how it will look on the battlefield. It's 'black light' effect seems like it works if it is surrounded by dark or similar colors (so it works better in a diorama)

The metallic red will look good without being too difficult to pull off and repeat. I would try to keep the red metallics as bright as in the first example and maybe add some extra bits of white striping. It is easy for red color schemes to end up very dark.

The Titanfall scheme with so much white and precision freehand will probably be the hardest of the three to paint, but that's why I would choose it.

I think Titanfall would look best with a decent helping of dirt and battle damage on them. It would show up well against the white (and even give you opportunities to show scratches on the freehand stripes).

The only pushback I got from synthwave (neon) at the GW store (by manager and two players) was that they didn’t consider the model “fully” painted and it’s kind of cheating the system. ?‍♂️

How is that not fully painted?! It looks great and it obviously took effort. It even matches the old "three paint colors" standard from back in the day.

Hell. I'd be honored if my Custodes looked as cool as your Neon Tau.

Not fully painted, my arse. Are Black Templars not fully painted, if they're just black?

That neon mini is unambiguously "fully painted."

The only rational argument against that is if the painter says that there's something else they want to add (like "I'm going to do some freehand over here, so it isn't finished yet).
