A Kitchen Table Game is a compelling wargame that plays on a Kitchen Table of smaller. Typically this is 3 foot by 2 foot or smaller. There are some even as small as an A4 sheet of paper now. With people having limited time and space, these type of smaller (and sometimes) faster playing games that can fit into a more comfortable area to play such as the pub, your flat/Apt, while travelling, etc. are gaining in popularity.

I try to peel back a layer or two to give folks an idea of what makes them tick and how you can make your design work in this space.
