Subject: Alternatives to Chaos Fury Models?

I'd like to include some Chaos Furies in my 40k army, but I really don't like the current models. Any suggestions on what to use for alternatives? It doesn't have to be a Citadel mini, any company will do.

The old harpies, esp. the harpies from the 70s work well.

Looking for the Empire spearmen from the Warhammer sixth edition box set (empire vs orcs) Must be unpainted and in good condition. Also looking for MIB Empire State Troops boxes.
Looking for Battle for Macragge and Black Reach Tactical squads, unpainted and unassembled. |

absolutely anything that looks chaosy and looks either flying or floating. I've been tempted to make some mechanical ones, perhaps horribly mutated Tau drones...

Is your army nurgle, khorne or slanesh? You could easily attach the currnt fury wings to the demon of your patron god! also floating zombies would be cool for nurgle!

It's for my Word Bearers army, so there's a little of everything in it.

Anyone who suggests demonettes deserves to be made to play kroot mercs. Demonettes with wings are just little boys excuses to paint breasts.

Seems for Word Bearers some sort of fallen angels or classic devils is the way to go. Reaper has a good range for both, try the war store for a selection.
If you want to do conversions I see angels with torn robes and bat wings myself. high elf archers with bat wings and flaming swords might be a way to do it.

I have considered converting some Furies out of the new Wood Elf Dryad models. Would that be a little too weird? What about the new Tzeentch Horrors with Tyranid Gargoyle wings and painted a shiny, nasty, flesh color?

Dryad Furies? I fear they'll look like flying firewood, but by all means try a test model.
I like Kid Kyoto's idea of fallen angels - some sort of robed winged figures (perhaps with scythes for that classic Death look?) in mid-air. Mmm, might some of the smaller Inquisitor winged cherubs etc be suitable?
