I have a tournie later on in the year, Its a doubles tournie so each player has 600 pts each so total is 1200 pts. I just need someone to let me know if this list is legal in terms of my demon princes and if its not illegal. the only ristriction is that each player has to take aminimum of 1 troops choice. I dont play chaos so I am not to sure about restriction on demonic gifts etc

Ok here goes the first Lord:-

demonic speed(15) collor of khorne (5) beseker glaive(40) Bolt pistol(1) furious charge(15). his total is 186. pls check for me as i can be a spastic sometimes. Also is it correct that you cant combine stature with infiltrate??

Ok the other lord for my partners 600 points

The khorne army consist of the above lord = 8 bezerkers talisman of burnibg blood with chainaxes and 1 powerfist and furios charge + either another sqaud of the same or some 4 bikers with aspiring champ with powerfist and demonic strength and skilled rider or some obliterators?? not sure? any ideas??

As for the nurgle part its the lord + 7 plage marines 1 powerfist with infiltrate and plasma guns (should i take meltas instead?) and a defiler with indirect fire and plague carrior.

what do you think?? I know its not gona win me nothing, actualy thats a lie the main reason i am taking them is to win best painted award as they have a chance at that. any way feedback would be nice. thanks

Glaive and speed is a no no, so you have to drop speed. Feel no pain is nice you get a 4+ then a 4+ most of the time. You will have to get someone else to prove that you can't have both speed and glaive but you going to trust me i don't have the source on my to prove it.

i downloaded the latest FAQ and it does not say you cant have a beserker glaive with speed. it only says models with speed or stature cant infiltrate.

ITS NOT IN AN FAQ BECAUSE THE CHANGE HAS BEEN REPRINTED CORRECTLY IN THE 3RD PRINTING OF THE CHAOS DEX. ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE BOOK IT SHOULD SAY "THIRD PRINTING". IF IT DOES NOT, YOU NEED TO GET A THIRD PRINTING CODEX.

IF YOU CANNOT FIND A THIRD PRINTING CHAOS CODEX, THE CORRECT RULES ARE ALSO PRINTED IN THE WARGEAR MANUAL.

YOU CANNOT HAVE SPEED OR FLIGHT WITH A BERZERKER GLAIVE, GET OVER IT.

The Manreaper and a bolter are both 2-handed weapons. I don't have my book on me, but you might not be able to take 2, 2-handed weapons.

I'd just like to point that, unfortunately, most (it seems, if I look at both online and local army lists) chaos players seem to forget the wepon restrictions that are associated with Daemonic Stature... (While the option is nice, if you are gonna use it in every game you play, dammit, read its rules, gee - sorry, stupid local kids got on my nerves too often

You are not allowed a BP or a Bolter with a statured prince. Daemonic Weapons, non Slaanesh GotG weapons, CCW, GW and Combis are okay, anything else (Bolter, pistol, PWeap, PFist, whatever) is not.

ok I saw the 3rd printing relax whitedragon. Its ok just breath and count to 10. Ok the man reaper is 2 handed I saw that and so no bolter or boltpistol. I have dcided to either ring the tournie organiser and see what he weill allow and if that does not work then the khorne lord will have mutation instead of spead and infiltrate instead of furious charge. Is that ok??

All I was saying was that if I did not have access to you guys as not everybody has internet or knows where to look I would have gone to the tournie with an illegal army list and got docked points. It would not be fair as not everybody has access to forums to find out and most people once they have bought a codex look at faqs not later printing.

Also remember the Berserker Glaive is two handed so dont think about trading in the bolt pistol for a CCW

Your right jfrazell it does not hurt to check. But then it does not hurt to be polite either. why some people feel the need to be rude to people making an inquiry or be sarcastic does not make sence to me. I understand some people dont have a social life outside these forums but thats not an excuse to be rude.

Actually Beef, I think the reason some are somewhat aggressive is because the same problems that always come up with Chaos armies could be EASILY avoided if players actually read their Codex once, and so far it seems the only part of the codex you've taken a look at is the profiles and point costs.

If you'll allow me to list all the blatant (in that everything is clearly written black on white in the codex) errors :
- Berserker Glaive and Daemonic Speed (see page 48)
- Daemonic Stature and Bolt Pistol (see page 17)
- Sorcerer Lord (60) : you have to actually pay X points to turn a Chaos Lord into a Sorcerer Lord (see page 22)
- Manreaper and Bolter (see BBB)
- Daemonic Stature and Bolter (see page 17)
- Khorne Lord with Infiltrate (see page 19)

Another good example of your lack of effort :

This, above all else, clearly shows that you never had any intention of reading the rules by yourself, and simply wanted others to check for you. It is an attitude I detest above all, even more so than rules lawyerism, because in the later case at least the person did the effort of actually checking the rules. You, on the other hand, either never bought the codex and are simply using AB (which is bad enough) or are just too lazy to read it by yourself and hope to either be corrected or that your opponent won't realise you cheated if you somehow happen to do so.

So, sure, it does not hurt to check with others, but at the very least, next time, take at least a minute or two to check your codex first, that won't hurt either. That is, if you DO have a copy of the codex...

Ok first off I did say I dont play chaos.

Second I did pay the 10 points for turning the lord to a sorceror.

third my codex does allow me to take speed and beserker glaive as I have the old codex.

You are right about infiltrate as I cant take that with stature and your right about the bolt pistol. The oistol was just an afterthought,

but the glaive is legal according to my codex but now I have been told it an old printing so it no longer is. Therefore the lord will bothe NOT have pistols and will not have infiltrate but instead will have furious charge or something else. The khorne lord will have mutation instead of speed.

And if you feel so strongly about my so called lack of effort you did not have to reply to it? Did you? Its not like you were forced to?
