Hi all,
I've been collecting terminators for some time now and I'm looking to slap them into some semblance of an army. I'll be using the new(ish) grey knight terminators for 2 reasons:
1) they are nice and gothic models, which I like in the Imperial armies
2) I can use psycannons to represent assault cannons and not feel any qualms about it
So, here's the list:
HQ: 399
1) Epistolary-stubborn, fear, fury, power weapon, teleport homer, furious charge, terminator armor/167
*Librarium command squad: 4 Terminators-stubborn 2 assault cannons, furious charge/232
Troops:1100
1) 5 Terminators-stubborn, 2 assault cannons, homer/270
2) 5 Terminators-stubborn, 2 assault cannons, homer/270
3) 5 Terminators-stubborn, 2 assault cannons, homer/270
4) 5 Terminators-stubborn, 2 assault cannons, homer/270
I like the list because it packs a heck of a punch over a small area and has enough units to neutralize threats as they appear. Against assaulty hordes or godzilla, I'd deploy on the table and just pump out rediculous amounts of shots for as long as I could. Versus shooty types, I'd teleport with everyone (unless there was an abundance of high strength low AP templates running around) and either move in to assault asap or stay at the edge of my range and assault cannon specific targets, trying to get as much of my force in contact with the smallest part of the opponents'.
I didn't include drop pods for one reason: squad numbers at 1850. My plan is to boost all of the squads up to 6 men, which don't fit into a pod. This brings me to my next question: should I break up one of the squads and bring all of the squads up to 6 men? If I do, does the command squad get the boost as well? If not, what do I do with an extra 135 points? Dread with a pod?
Thanks for your time and input!
