I dont know what army I will be facing but I know that we have two nurgles marines players in our league so I choosed to have st4 hormagaunts.

That army should wipe the floor with most 1,000 point armies you'll face unless you hit the dreaded Escalation. Then you'll be fighting a severe uphill battle with this army.

Your right about escalation, if this rule is used, I'm dead. A broodlord force with stealers as troops should be better with escalation mission. However, I think that's the only way that a broodlord can be a better choice than a tyrant. No infiltration also hurt to much the broodlord. More I think about it, more I prefer to use tyrants list and cross my fingers for no escalation.

The only things i would consider are:

1) do the Gun Tyrant need the Ws upgrade
2) Do the Flying Tyrant need the Rippers.
3) Do you need additional Synapse in the form of Zoanthropes.

But that's all...have fun!

1) yes Bs4 make the difference when you have a Vc and a TL-devourer.
2) No, the tyrant dont need the ripeprs, but I have 2 extra pts to spend.
3) Yes, By experience, I can tell that 2 synapses is not enough for 1000 pts especially when you have 32 hormagaunts with ld5.

Schepp is referring to the WS upgrade you listed. Does a Gun Tyrant need a WS upgrade? Will it be used as a close combat enough to warrant the WS upgrade?
