Hey everyone,
I have question about Eldar Pathfinders. Their special rules allow them to move through/over impossible terain. I wonder how LOS is used in this situation.
Would you consider:
- The piece of terain as area terain for purposes of LOS?
- The pathfinders as being on top of the terain?
- Or something different?
Perhaps the type of terain would make a huge difference (lava streams/vertical mountain walls/deep lakes/etc.)

Oh, and on a side note, this does make them the (almost) unassaultable squad right? (save for some tyranids I believe)

ImPASSible terrain (not "impossible") is simply a type of terrain that models are not normally allowed to move over or be deployed into.

Whether or not that terrain is also considered area terrain (and what size classification it is) or simply WYSIWG terrain for LOS purposes still must be decided amongst the players.

This must be done whether units that are capable of moving into/over impassible terrain are present in the game just for normal LOS purposes.

So as for your paticular question, absolutely, the type of impassible terrain makes a huge difference. And yes, this could make the unit un-assaultable in some situations.
