Dude, this is a message board, not some live chat room. On top of that, this server, and most of the board members, are in the US, and with your first message posted at 5am, of course it's going to take a while for people to answer. Most of us were sleeping. Some still are. On top of that, constantly replying to your own topics, asking for reply's isn't going to endear you with anyone around here.

Tau Jetbikes? Yes they are called Pirahnas. They also have Tetras.... So i think that niche is pretty much filled.

Why would you need anything else?

I think you're possibly the worst poster on Dakka atm. I see you've started another Tau killteam post without a question mark. For most people this would suggest they're showing an actual Tau killteam instead of asking a few inane questions, but I'm guessing there is no actual Tau killteam on show in that thread (I will look stupid if there is, I know).

No need to apologise. Most probably this article you are refering too was written before the new codex came out. Currently (well ever since Imperial Armour 3 actually) the need for a Tau jetbike is out dated and not needed. Tetras are the closest thing to a jet bike (twin linked pulse carbine, skimmer) but they have armour the same as a pirahna. Pirahnas kick *donkey*and are much better than jet bikes, but if you wanted to do an all anti grav army i guess you could blag some kind of non armour jetbike (like an eldar jetbike) as an alternate troops choice. Have tanks as heavy support, and pirahnas as fast attack, stick in a ethereal in a pirahna (since they are also used as transports for dignitaries (fluff wise). I think it could work. A bit like a Tau Beil Tan army

sorry if i have not been clear about this but i do know what the pirhannas are. i also know what the tettars are. i do not though know if the rule for the terrta are the same is in the link. how do you make it a one person jetbike??

Okay having read the article, to answer your question. No Tetras are different from these. Basically a Tetra is a vehicle, with an armour value (if i remember correctly) a twin linked pulse carbine, disruptor pod, and marker light.

The main difference is that these tau jetbikes will increase your toughness and give you an armour save, opposed to a armour value that requires glancing penetrating hits etc.

Thats why you could include them in an army as an alternative troops choice if you rigged the rules around a bit. Currently as these stand theres no need for them as they are fast attack and a tetra fulfills the role in the same way.

In terms of conversions you could do a few things. Convert piranhas and mount one rider instead of two. Maybe chop down the rear section a bit to make them smaller and make the wings smaller whilst removing the gun drones (i'd suggest using thick plasticard for this).

Alternatively you could use eldar jetbikes as the main body and put some tau bits (for example the nose of the pirahna cut down) on the front to make them look more tau.

Perhaps if you type a clear and concise request and actually ~wait~ for people to view your request you might get more useful replies. The ones who have replied are, I think, doing so out of pity despite your irritating antics.
