On a lark last year, I decided to preorder the Ogre battalion from the UK, ebay everything except 6 ogres, and thereby get them for free.  It almost worked, so I think I ended up paying $10 for this unit.

The models below are "finished" in that they have all painting finished, but do not have any sealer on them, leaving them somewhat glossy from the future/ink combo they get before final highlights.  That problem is most easily seen in the main regiment picture unfortunately. With 40mm bases I figured a seperate gloss coat would be overkill. You will note also that I avoided the horrid skin color that the ogres have "officially" now, in my book they are big humaniods, therefore ought to have standard skin colors.

Full regiment of 6 ogres with two hand weapons. I know it is not the greatest load out, but it allowed my ogres to be the same price as all my other DoW reigments without too many upgrades.  Also, I completely avoided the clubs, as these are weathy DoW ogres, not tribesmen from the hinterland.

Standard and lookout. Sure, the lookout is pretty useless, but he looks cool. The standard and lookout nest are magnitized. (most of my standards have been magnitized).  Shield painted to look like an Averland shield... always good to take trophies from a regional competitor.

Standard bearer. Unfortunately the standard and bearer come out to be a huge miniature when pictured together, but if you look at this picture and the picture above, you sort of get the idea. His gut plate is painted after the one on the battlemasters Ogre, a classic if I ever saw one.

Unit champ. He has a number of bits and bobs on him, most notibily a 5th edition chaos warrior weapon, which is not bent in reality. The armor is mostly ork stuff from a sprue I got with the chaos mutants pack. The white lion (with two tails) is the symbol of Wissenland, and gray and white are the colors.

More, and larger, pictures of the regiment and other figures in the pbase link in my signature.
